Overall wellness is an important aspect of mental and emotional health and our approach with clients is warm and empathetic, goal-oriented and focused on your present concerns. We are positive and supportive as our clients work toward recognising their own strengths and competencies. In our counselling sessions we will focus on the thoughts underlying your feelings and behaviours and look at challenging negative beliefs as one way to promote change. Generally, we will discuss your concerns and develop a plan that integrates different therapeutic approaches as needed. In the first session, you can expect the focus to be on what brings you to counselling and on working toward collaborating on some initial goals.
